Raffles Boston Redefines Luxury in the Heart of Back Bay

Boston’s luxury hotel scene has welcomed a new name with the opening of Raffles Boston. Located in a sleek glass tower on Stuart Street, this is the first US outpost of the historic Raffles brand, which began in Singapore over a century ago. The hotel blends modern design with high-end service, offering guests a mix of elegance and comfort in the heart of Back Bay.

Raffles Boston occupies a discreet yet striking building, with guest rooms and suites spread across floors 6 to 16. Each space comes with a private butler, ensuring a personalised stay. Above, floors 17 to 19 house the hotel’s public areas, designed to feel intimate despite their soaring ceilings and sweeping city views.

The lobby sets the tone with its high ceilings, an eye-catching chandelier, and panoramic vistas of Boston. The design throughout the hotel balances warm contemporary touches with Asian-inspired wall coverings, creating a rich, inviting atmosphere. Dining options are equally impressive. Amar, the main restaurant, serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes alongside a lavish Afternoon Tea and an extensive wine selection. On the ground floor, La Padrona offers Italian cuisine under the direction of two-time James Beard Award winner Chef Jody Adams. For drinks, The Long Bar & Terrace serves the classic Singapore Sling as well as a local twist, the Boston Sling, with views of the harbour. Meanwhile, The Blind Duck provides a more secluded experience—a modern speakeasy with nighttime city views, live music, and a quiet luxury vibe. General manager Darrell Wallace oversees the operations, ensuring the hotel maintains the Raffles legacy of refined hospitality.

Raffles Boston brings a new level of sophistication to the city’s hospitality scene. With its blend of historic prestige, contemporary design, and top-tier dining, the hotel aims to attract both visitors and locals. The property’s mix of private luxury and public spaces offers something for every guest.
