The Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort is set to roar back to life this Sunday at 3:00 PM, with the race broadcast on ORF 1 and Sky. The first race after the summer break promises to be an exciting one, as the championship battle reaches a critical stage.

In the championship standings, Oscar Piastri holds a narrow nine-point advantage over Lando Norris, with ten races remaining. Piastri, the McLaren driver, has been in impressive form, and he will be looking to extend his lead this weekend.

Max Verstappen, the reigning champion and GP winner in Zandvoort from 2021 to 2023, is currently 97 points behind Piastri. Verstappen will start in third position for the race, after setting the third fastest time in qualifying. The McLaren drivers secured the first and second positions, with Piastri taking pole position and Norris lining up alongside him on the front row.

Fernando Alonso, the Aston-Martin driver, had a tough qualifying session due to the blustery winds, but he managed to finish tenth. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will start in sixth and seventh place, respectively, while George Russell will start in fifth. Isack Hadjar, the Racing Bulls driver, starts in fourth place.

However, the race was not without incident. Lance Stroll, the Aston-Martin driver, had another accident during the qualifying session, going off the track in the first qualifying section and severely damaging his car. Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli missed the Q3 and finished eleventh.

Piastri set a lap record of 1:08.662 min during the qualifying session, securing pole position for the race. The starting grid remains unchanged, with Piastri in pole position, Norris in second, McLaren in first, Verstappen in third, Hadjar in fourth, Russell in fifth, Leclerc in sixth, and Hamilton in seventh.

The first race of the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort is shaping up to be a thrilling affair, with the championship battle heating up and the race track offering its unique challenges. Tune in to ORF 1 and Sky this Sunday at 3:00 PM to catch all the action.
