Quiet Journey Across Wilderness: the tranquil Lucid Gravity X expedition
The American automotive and technology company Lucid Group, Inc. has unveiled the Lucid Gravity X Concept, an off-road focused version of their electric SUV, the Gravity. The reveal took place at a private event at Pebble Beach on August 17th, marking the official premiere of the concept car.
Based on the Gravity Grand Touring, the Lucid Gravity X Concept boasts several unique features designed for off-road adventures. One of these features is a raised suspension, which provides better ground clearance and improved approach angles, thanks to revised bumpers.
The Gravity X Concept also comes equipped with underbody protection plates and all-terrain tires on special alloy wheels, ensuring it can handle various terrains with ease. The SUV version of the Gravity will be optionally available with seven seats, making it a versatile choice for families seeking an off-road capable electric vehicle.
Topographic engravings on the hood of the Gravity X depict Big Sur and Death Valley, adding a touch of California's rugged beauty to the vehicle's design. The sills of the Gravity X bear the coordinates of Pebble Beach, serving as a reminder of the location of its debut.
The Lucid Gravity X Concept sports a wider track and an aerodynamic roof rack with integrated LED lights, enhancing its off-road capabilities and providing additional storage space. It also features an "Astral Drift" matte paint colour with orange accents and dark stealth elements, giving it a striking appearance.
The Gravity, the second model from Lucid after the Air, offers a range of over 700 kilometers and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. It can produce up to 828 horsepower, ensuring swift and powerful performance. Production of the Gravity is currently underway in the USA.
However, the production future of the Lucid Gravity X Concept is uncertain. The vehicle was first revealed at Pebble Beach, and it will be presented at the IAA Mobility in Munich in September before its launch in Germany. The concept car features a tow hook and has a towering presence, hinting at its potential as a production model in the future.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Lucid Gravity X Concept as it continues to make waves in the automotive industry.
