Quality Street shrinks tubs again—fewer sweets, same 550g weight

Quality Street fans will find fewer sweets in their tubs this year. The popular assortment now contains 59 chocolates and toffees, down from 64 in 2022. Some favourite varieties have also seen cuts in their numbers.

The latest 550g tub holds nearly 9% fewer sweets than last year's version. Since 2013, the total count has fallen by 29%. Five individual sweets have been removed entirely from the selection.

Pink fudge pieces have dropped from eight to six per tub. Toffee fingers and strawberry delights now number six instead of seven. Toffee pennies have also been reduced, falling from six to five. The changes come as the brand continues to adjust portion sizes. No details have been released about alterations to recipes or ingredient quality since the switch to plastic containers over a decade ago.

Shoppers will now receive 59 sweets in each tub, compared to 64 in 2022. The weight has been set at 550g, reflecting the latest reduction. Popular varieties like pink fudge and toffee pennies have seen the biggest individual cuts.
