Expanding Horizons at the CEDIA Expo/CIX in Denver

The technology landscape is evolving, and the CEDIA Expo/CIX is at the forefront of this change. For the third consecutive year, the Expo is being held in Denver, Colorado, and it's clear that the city has become a favourite destination for both attendees and exhibitors.

In the realm of security, smart surveillance, access control, and integrated safety solutions are expanding, reflecting a growing demand for comprehensive and intelligent security systems.

Energy management is another area seeing significant growth. Integrators are focusing on offering smarter, more sustainable power solutions, aiming to reduce energy consumption and promote a greener future.

The 8K Association is hosting daily sessions on the 8K ecosystem, delving into content production and the latest high-resolution display technology. Meanwhile, the CEDIA Expo/CIX is also hosting thought leadership sessions on the Smart Stage, covering topics like cybersecurity, lighting design, home theater, and audio trends.

Lighting is another hot trend this year. There's strong momentum in low-voltage and LED fixtures, lighting control, automated shades, smart dimming systems, and full light management solutions. AI is increasingly embedded in these smart home and commercial technologies, enhancing their functionality and user experience.

AI is also playing a crucial role in security and energy management solutions, automating processes and improving efficiency. The IMCCA is featuring daily sessions on AI best practices and tips for AV and collaboration solutions.

The dedicated CIX area on the show floor has grown year over year, providing attendees with a broader range of AV products and solutions. Leading brands like Digital Projection, LG, Quantum Media Systems, Samsung, Sony, and Stealth are showcasing their latest innovations in direct-view and microLED video walls.

Attendees have access to free manufacturer product training (MPT) sessions during the show, ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest technology advancements.

"Destination Outdoors" offers hands-on demos of outdoor technology solutions in real-world settings, sponsored by Coastal Source, Lutron, Draper, and Access Networks. This provides a unique opportunity for attendees to experience the latest outdoor tech firsthand.

The CEDIA Expo/CIX will continue to rotate locations starting in 2027, visiting different cities each September. However, Denver is expected to return as a host city in the future, given the overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees and exhibitors.

This year's CEDIA Expo/CIX in Denver is shaping up to be an exciting event, with trends in lighting, AI, security technology, and energy management taking centre stage. Whether you're a technology enthusiast, an industry professional, or a curious onlooker, there's something for everyone at this year's Expo.
