Puppy Bowl XXII Returns with 150 Adoptable Dogs on Feb. 8

Puppy Bowl XXII is set to return on Sunday, Feb. 8, marking another year of playful competition and adoption awareness. This year's event will feature a record-breaking 150 dogs from 72 shelters across the United States, Puerto Rico, and the British Virgin Islands. Fans can watch as Team Fluff defends its title against Team Ruff in the longest-running call-to-adoption television event.

The main event kicks off at 2 p.m. ET, following a Puppy Combine pre-show at 1 p.m. ET. Viewers can catch the action across multiple platforms, including Animal Planet, TBS, TruTV, HBO Max, and Discovery+. The broadcast will also lead into the Big Game at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Team Fluff, last year's champions, will field players like Benito, Showgirl, and Chappell Bone. Their rivals, Team Ruff, include Lobster Roll, Brûlée, and Miso. Both squads will compete in a lighthearted match designed to showcase adoptable dogs. For those without cable, streaming options are available. A free 7-day trial on Discovery+ provides access to the Puppy Bowl, while Hulu + Live TV offers a free trial for live viewing of both the Puppy Bowl and the Super Bowl. HBO Max subscribers can also watch, with an annual plan providing a 16% discount over monthly payments. Animal Planet has partnered with over 120 rescue organisations for this year's event, continuing its tradition of promoting adoptions. Since its start, the Puppy Bowl has regularly featured dogs from more than 100 shelters across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the British Virgin Islands.
