A New Look for Citizen Advice Bureau in Detmold

The Citizen Advice Bureau in Detmold has undergone a transformation, aiming to make the bureau more recognizable and user-friendly. The new look, which features the city's slogan "For you. For Detmold" and the green Detmold skyline, is part of the city's path of making its facilities more accessible.

Britta Contursi, the team leader at the Citizen Advice Bureau, is delighted with the new look. She said, "The changes have made the bureau easier to find and more welcoming for our visitors." The bureau is now located at Paulinenstraße 45.

In addition to the physical changes, the bureau has also introduced digital appointment scheduling, allowing citizens to book a suitable time slot based on the issue. All online services are clearly listed on the service portal website, making it easier for residents to access the services they need.

The bureau now offers online services for applying for personal documents, resident parking permits, registration certificates, and registering a place of residence. The advantages of the online services include no long journeys, no parking search, and no waiting time.

The city of Detmold is promoting its services with visual symbols and slogans, with the green Detmold skyline now a recognizable symbol for the city's services. The city is also making its municipal facilities and service locations visually recognizable.

The administration has offered an appointment-free Wednesday since May 2024, which has received positive feedback from Detmold residents. Although there may be waiting time on Wednesdays, issues will still be resolved on the same day. The concept on Wednesdays aims to be citizen-friendly and unbureaucratic.

The press release regarding these changes was issued by the city portal. The mayor of Detmold who initiated the project "For you. For Detmold" is Frank Hilker. He said, "We want to make it as easy as possible for our residents to access the services they need. These changes are just the beginning of our efforts to make Detmold a more user-friendly city."
