Provide childcare services for primary school students in Duisburg during the fall break

The City of Duisburg's Office for School Education is offering a unique opportunity for elementary school children in the autumn holidays of 2025. From October 13 to October 24, children will be able to enjoy a free holiday care programme, supervised by educational professionals, at over 18 different locations across the city.

This programme, a collaboration between the Office for School Education and after-school care providers, will provide structured activities and meals for the children during the day, from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday. The activities on offer include games, sports, creative and artistic activities, and excursions to the nearby surroundings.

The registration process for this programme will be conducted online, through a digital registration tool, which is being used for the first time for the autumn holiday care registration. Parents can book the holiday care on a weekly basis, and the allocation of places will be in the order of registration. After a binding booking, parents will receive a message via the registration portal indicating whether the booking was successful or if they have been placed on a waiting list.

The registration portal will be activated on Tuesday, September 2, at 12 pm, and will remain open until Friday, September 12, at 4 pm. Further important information and a list of all locations can be found online at www.ourwebsite.de/ferienbetreuung.

Please note that while the holiday care is free of charge, there is a cost of four euros per day for lunch. Activities will be supervised by pedagogical specialists, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for the children.
