Protests in Bihar Today: NDA Demands Shutdown in Response to PM Modi Insult Video, Tejashwi Yadav Criticizes BJP

In a heated exchange of words, Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of impure and insincere politics, following a bandh called by the women's wing of NDA constituents in Bihar.

The bandh, scheduled for September 4, 20XX, is in protest of alleged abuses directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during the Congress-led "Voter Adhikar Yatra". The shutdown, running from 7 am to noon, is expected to only close schools for the day, according to Tejashwi Yadav.

The call for the bandh follows a purported video from the outskirts of Darbhanga, Bihar, where an unidentified person was recorded using a Hindi expletive into a microphone from a dais during the yatra. The accused in this incident, a 25-year-old local resident, has been arrested.

Tejashwi Yadav has alleged that the BJP has a lot to answer for regarding crude public behavior, citing remarks such as a "girlfriend worth Rs 50 crore", comments about Sonia Gandhi, a below-the-belt reference to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's DNA, and abuses by BJP MLAs on the assembly floor.

The Congress-led INDIA bloc maintains that the accused in the Darbhanga incident was not a member of any constituent party. The BJP state president, Dilip Jaiswal, strongly condemned the abusive language used against the PM and his mother from the stage of the RJD and the Congress in Darbhanga.

Jaiswal urged people of Bihar to participate in the shutdown "and stand against the act committed by the RJD and the Congress". Anil Kumar, the Hindustani Awam Morcha state president, has described the language from the stage as recalling the "jungle raj culture".

The NDA's women's wing has announced plans to take to the streets in Bihar on September 4 in protest of the comments. The JDU state president, Umesh Singh Kushwaha, has stated that the comments were an insult to democratic traditions and the revered position of a mother.

Yadav has claimed that the BJP is rattled by the success of their yatra that covered more than 1,300 kilometers across 25 districts. The incident in Darbhanga, he claims, was orchestrated by a BJP plant within their party.

Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had passed through Darbhanga on August 27, 20XX. The person who made the derogatory remark about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother in the Darbhanga incident was Anand Mohan Singh.

As the political landscape in Bihar continues to evolve, these allegations and counter-allegations serve as a reminder of the intense rivalry between the major political parties in the state.
