Proposing an Expansion of Youth Population within the EU

On September 11th, 2025, Chemnitz, Germany, will welcome seniors from partner cities for an international networking meeting. The event, which is supported by the city of Chemnitz as part of the city partnership, will take place at 9:30 AM in the Green Salon of the town hall.

Mayor Sven Schulze will extend a warm welcome to the seniors from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, and Germany, who will attend the conference. The diverse working group of seniors from Chemnitz, organised by Reinhard Dietrich, has worked tirelessly to organise this conference, which is a micro-project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025.

The focus of the conference will be on exchanging experiences and perspectives on senior issues in society. The seniors will have the opportunity to share their insights and learn from each other, fostering a greater understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing seniors in different countries.

During the event, the seniors will sign the Culture Capital Book of the city of Chemnitz, symbolising their commitment to the city's cultural heritage and the values of the European Capital of Culture. The conference results will be summarised in a brochure, providing a valuable resource for those interested in senior issues.

Representatives of the media are invited to attend the event, offering a unique opportunity to witness the exchange of ideas and perspectives between seniors from different countries. The international seniors' conference in Chemnitz promises to be an enlightening and inspiring event, highlighting the importance of intergenerational dialogue and cooperation.
