On Sunday at approximately 3:10 PM, a serious traffic accident occurred in Hatten, a municipality in Delmenhorst, Wesermarsch.
The incident took place near a local golf course on the Hatter Straße (L888). The motorcyclist involved in the accident was a 45-year-old resident of Ganderkesee. According to reports, he was traveling on Hatter Straße from Dingstede towards Kirchhatten.
The motorcyclist allowed an oncoming car, driven by a 55-year-old from Ganderkesee, to pass. Unfortunately, in the process, he collided with the trailer being towed by the car. The impact was severe, causing the motorcyclist to fall off his bike.
Emergency services, including several local fire departments, two ambulances, a doctor, and a rescue helicopter, were quickly deployed for the rescue and recovery operations. Despite their best efforts, the motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries.
The Hatter Straße was closed for several hours due to the accident. The trailer involved in the collision was heavily damaged, and the motorcycle was a total loss. The estimated damage from the accident is around 6,000 euros.
