In a series of disturbing incidents, three cases of harassment and exhibitionism have been reported in the Recklinghausen district in Germany. The cities affected include Recklinghausen, Marl, Castrop-Rauxel, Datteln, and possibly nearby cities such as Gladbeck and Bottrop.

On June 27, two teenagers, aged 14 and 16, were sexually harassed by two unknown suspects on a bus in Recklinghausen. The suspects, described as male, early to mid-20s, approximately 1.60m to 1.70m tall, with black hair (one with long curls, the other with short hair), allegedly masturbated in the back of the bus and then touched the teenagers' faces. They got off the bus at Gustav-Mahler-Straße and ran towards Johannes-Brahms-Straße after the incident.

In a separate incident, on Sunday afternoon in Kardinal-von-Gahlen Park, a man allegedly harassed two girls aged 9 and 10. The man, described as approximately 40 years old, overweight, with gray hair and a hunched posture, is said to have boarded a bus after the incident. He was wearing gray jogging pants and a gray sweater. The man is suspected of urinating on a tree and "playing with his genitals" while looking at the children.

Investigations are ongoing for the incident in Kardinal-von-Gahlen Park, and the police are seeking witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact the responsible criminal investigation unit at 0800/2361 111. For media inquiries, contact Annette Achenbach at [email protected] or 02361 55 1033.

A similar incident was reported in Gladbeck on Saturday evening. A 34-year-old woman encountered a suspected exhibitionist in the Wittringer Wald area, near the Ringallee. The man, approximately 1.80m tall, overweight (estimated around 100 to 120 kg), with long unkempt dark hair, and wearing jogging pants and a black t-shirt, was noticed masturbating with his pants down around 8:35 p.m. Despite a search, the suspect was not found.

The woman quickly left the area after noticing the suspect, but looked back and saw that he was still there. She then called the police.

The police are urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities. They are also asking for witnesses to come forward for the incidents in Kardinal-von-Gahlen Park and Gladbeck.
