Proposal for a directive on safeguarding animal welfare and the environment requested from the Commission.
In an exciting development, Olaf Streubig has been appointed as the new press spokesperson for Hesse's Minister of Agriculture, Ingmar Jung (CDU). Streubig, who hails from Hesse's state capital, will take over the leadership of the Press and Public Relations department in the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment from April.
Streubig's career in journalism and media management spans over a decade. Prior to his traineeship, he was already active as a journalist. He held various management positions within VRM media company since 2013, and worked as a journalist and manager at the same company before his appointment in the Ministry.
Before his new role, Streubig served as Editor-in-Chief of the "Wiesbadener Kurier" since 2021. During his tenure, he was responsible for west Hessian daily newspapers and their digital transformation. However, he will be leaving the "Wiesbadener Kurier" with this appointment.
Christoph Zoeb, who had been acting as press spokesperson since January, will no longer be in the role after Streubig's appointment. Streubig succeeds Zoeb in this position. Zoeb's departure marks the end of a brief but impactful tenure, having served as press spokesperson for Hesse's Minister of Agriculture.
Streubig's appointment comes at an important time, as the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment faces numerous challenges and opportunities. With his extensive experience in journalism and media management, Streubig is well-positioned to communicate the ministry's messages effectively and engage with the public and media in a transparent and timely manner.
As Streubig embarks on this new chapter in his career, he brings with him a deep understanding of the region and its issues, having been born and raised in Hesse's state capital. This local knowledge, combined with his professional expertise, promises to make him a valuable asset to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
