Project Proposal: "School Newspaper Initiative"
In an exciting initiative, Oberpfalz-Medien has launched the free, four-week project "Weiden in der Oberpfalz" Zeitung macht Schule". This media project aims to introduce children and young people to newspaper and media literacy.
The project is open to primary and secondary school levels, specifically grades 3/4 and 7-9. Teachers and multipliers can find local publishers' offers via a postal code search on the newsheroes platform (www.newsheroes.de), the central point of contact for media education projects from local media houses.
Teachers can integrate the project into their teaching and will be supported with diverse materials and ideas. Comprehensive information material, including suggestions for lessons, worksheets, and eLearnings, will be provided by the IZOP Institute. Practical journalistic and publishing principles will also be conveyed.
Students will read E-Paper from Oberpfalz-Medien for four weeks. The project start time and duration can be chosen flexibly during the school year, allowing for maximum convenience.
The newsheroes platform also provides access to a database of exemplary materials for use in the classroom, such as videos, worksheets, and guidelines. These resources can be invaluable aids for teachers in delivering engaging and informative lessons.
While the involved teachers are not named in the available information, the search results mention the project "Weiden in der Oberpfalz" in a general context. Registration for the project can be done online, with email contact for the "Weiden in der Oberpfalz" Zeitung project available at [email protected].
Meanwhile, in other news, Vera Jankowski and Michael Schmeller got married at the Tirschenreuth registry office after twelve years. Lisa Gebert, PloΜssberg's carnival president, and Philipp Hofmann tied the knot at the church in Beidl on Saturday, with the civil ceremony scheduled for next Saturday.
Unfortunately, a tragic incident occurred in North Rhine-Westphalia, where three people, including two children, were burned alive in an electric car crash. Our thoughts are with the families and friends affected by this tragedy.
Lastly, a 31-year-old filmed a drunk colleague at a company party in Amberg and showed the video to other colleagues, leading to a complaint being filed. Meanwhile, a group of children went for a walk to a fast-food restaurant in Amberg around 5 a.m., and the police intervened and notified child protective services.
A total lunar eclipse over Germany occurred, but its visibility was unclear, with some observers experiencing special moments. We hope that the clear skies will cooperate for future celestial events.
