Prince Aislinn: The High Elf Whose Brutality Blurred Salvation and Ruin

In the turbulent End Times of the Old World, Prince Aislinn emerged as a divisive High Elf leader. Though fighting against Chaos, his brutal tactics and dark methods drew both fear and reluctant acceptance. Many believed him to be the herald of Mathlann, the sea god, yet his actions often blurred the line between salvation and destruction.

Aislinn's forces were unlike any other in the Old World. He commanded mages who wielded fog and storm magic, alongside monstrous Merwyrm sea dragons. These powers made him a formidable opponent against Archaon the Everchosen, the champion of Chaos. Despite his effectiveness, his methods were extreme—even targeting allies, such as the human city of Marienburg.

High Elf nobility widely condemned his actions, yet they tolerated him because of his results. Aislinn fought with a ferocity that mirrored the very Chaos he opposed, leaving many to question his allegiance. His reputation as Mathlann's herald only deepened the mystery surrounding him. Ultimately, the Old World fell to ruin, giving way to the Age of Sigmar. Aislinn's role in those final days remains a subject of debate, as his legacy exists outside official Warhammer Fantasy lore.

The destruction of the Old World marked the end of an era, with Aislinn's controversial legacy fading into myth. His ruthless tactics and ambiguous loyalties left no clear heroes or villains—only shades of grey. The Age of Sigmar rose from the ashes, but the question of whether Aislinn was a saviour or a harbinger of doom was never truly answered.
