PPT 2026 Crowns Two New Champions as Player of the Series Race Heats Up

Two key events wrapped up on Tuesday at the 2026 Pure Poker Tour (PPT). The PLO Big Bounty and 3rd Chance NLH crowned their champions after intense final tables. The series has now completed 10 of its 16 scheduled tournaments.

As of March 5, 47 players have secured at least one top-three finish across the PPT events. The race for Player of the Series honours remains tight, with Brad Bishop, David Kang, and Jeff Forester still holding the top three spots.

The PLO Big Bounty drew 87 entries, creating a total prize pool of $41,325. Each elimination carried a $300 bounty, adding $17,400 in extra winnings. After nearly 13 hours of play, Paul Shakir emerged victorious, claiming his first live tournament win.

Meanwhile, the 3rd Chance NLH attracted 69 players, with prizes nearing $20,000. Michael St. Pierre-Porter took down the title in that event.

The latest results have shifted the Player of the Series standings. Cam Stewart climbed into the top five after finishing second in the PLO Big Bounty. Bishop, Kang, and Forester, however, maintain their lead as the series approaches its final stretch.

With six events left, the 2026 PPT continues to deliver competitive action. The next tournaments will determine whether the current top three can hold their positions. Players still have time to climb the rankings before the series concludes.
