In a remarkable turn of events, SanMar's CEO/President, Jeremy Lott, has claimed the number-one spot on the annual Counselor Power 50 list. This prestigious recognition is bestowed upon the most influential individuals in the promotional products industry.

The selection process for the Power 50 list is a collaborative effort, combining votes by last year's honorees, nominations from industry professionals, and careful consideration of accomplishments from the past year. This year's list, unveiled during the ASI Power Summit Live, a virtual webinar, features 10 first-time honorees and the return of two leaders who previously appeared.

Jeremy Lott's leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic played a significant role in his top position. His agile maneuvering of SanMar's business resulted in the production of approximately 200 million face masks for the federal government. Remarkably, not a single SanMar employee was laid off due to these efforts.

These achievements during COVID-19 built upon Lott's already impressive resume, which includes running the North American promotional products industry's largest company, SanMar, with an estimated $2.4 billion in 2019 revenue.

A Q&A between ASI president and CEO Timothy M. Andrews and Geiger CEO/President Jo-an Lantz detailed how one of promo's biggest distributorships adapted amid the pandemic. Other prominent figures on the list include Jo-an Lantz of Geiger, Marc Simon of HALO Branded Solutions, Greg and Vera Muzzillo of Proforma, Norm Hullinger of alphabroder, Jonathan Isaacson of Gemline, Matthew Eckhouse and Anne McKeough of Staples Promotional Products, Sai Koppaka and Alan Tabasky of BEL USA, Philip Koosed of BAMKO, and David Nicholson of Polyconcept North American.

The full Power 50 article and individual profiles will be the cover story of December's issue of Counselor magazine. The webinar also included a keynote by entrepreneur Peter Shankman and experts discussing the use of branded merchandise in top promo end-markets like education, hospitality, and trade shows/events.

Marty Lott, currently serving as the Executive Chairman of SanMar, has undoubtedly played a crucial role in the company's success. The Counselor Power 50 list is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and innovation of the leaders in the promotional products industry, particularly during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic.
