Porsche and Audi, two renowned automobile brands, have announced that their 2026 Taycan and Macan Electric vehicles, as well as most 2025 e-tron models, will come equipped with adapters for using Tesla's Supercharger network at no additional cost.

This move follows a trend set by other brands such as BMW, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Subaru, who will join the Tesla Supercharger infrastructure by September 2025. Brands that already support Tesla's charging standard include Ford, GM, Rivian, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Volvo, Lucid, Polestar, Genesis, Honda, Acura, and Jaguar Land Rover.

For current Porsche and Audi electric vehicle owners, adapters can be purchased for their vehicles. Customers with 2024 or older Taycans can purchase the adapter for $250 in Canada or $185 in the U.S., while owners of 2025 Taycans and all existing Macan Electrics can reserve a complimentary unit via the My Porsche app. Audi's pricing for its adapter for existing e-tron owners has not been announced yet.

Initially, Porsche drivers will use the Tesla mobile app to initiate charging sessions, with a more seamless experience via the My Porsche app planned for the future. Audi's customers will start by activating sessions through the Tesla app, with integration into the myAudi app and navigation arriving as part of future updates.

Earlier Taycan variants will receive the navigation software update at a later date, while owners of 2024 and 2025 Porsche Macan EVs will receive the navigation software update by the end of the year. Porsche is using NACS DC adapters for compatibility with Tesla's network, and all navigation software updates will be free of charge.

Audi is also enhancing its myAudi app and onboard navigation to display Supercharger locations as points of interest (POI). The adapter for most e-tron models, excluding the Q4 e-tron, will be compatible with Tesla's Supercharger network, with updates on its compatibility expected in the future.

By joining the Tesla Supercharger network, these brands aim to provide their customers with a wider network of charging stations, making electric vehicle ownership more convenient and accessible. This collaboration underscores the growing acceptance of electric vehicles and the increasing interoperability between different charging networks.
