Police Vocational High School: Welcome ceremony for new students in Hagen's training services

The innovative FOS program, now in its fourth year, has welcomed a new cohort of students in Hagen, Germany. A total of 19 female and 39 male students, aged between 14 and 30, have secured a place in the program that offers a new pathway into the police force for those with an intermediate school leaving certificate.

The FOS program is a collaboration between the Hagen Police and various vocational schools, including those in Bochum and Halver, as well as police authorities in Bochum, Märkischer Kreis, Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis, Olpe, and Siegen. This collaboration provides students with practical content in the daily operations of the various cooperating authorities.

The Hagen Police are responsible for the training of the FOS program, and upon graduation, students will have full university entrance qualifications and a guarantee of acceptance into the University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration NRW. This collaboration aims to help students set the course for their career in the NRW police force.

The new academic year has started at the Police Fachoberschule in Hagen, with the University of Applied Sciences South Westphalia serving as the location for the start of the new academic year for the FOS program. A total of 3645 individuals applied for the FOS class of 2025, and 551 were successful in securing a place.
