Police pursuit ended in VW collision

In the early hours of Thursday, a car accident occurred on the Köstenteilsweg in Nortrup, following a car chase that began near a kindergarten in Osnabrück's street "Dorf Priggenhagen".

At 2:35 AM, a Volkswagen car was observed on a parking lot near the kindergarten with an open trunk. The driver and his three passengers, all aged 19 and 21, fled from the police and continued towards the city center of Bersenbrück.

The car chase ended in Nortrup, where the VW went off the road in a curve. No injuries were reported during the car chase or the subsequent arrest. The occupants of the car fled on foot after the accident, but were later arrested without injury.

The police investigation regarding this incident is ongoing. The driver of the VW, who has not been publicly identified, was arrested and a blood sample was taken on the order of the public prosecutor's office. The driver and his passengers were released after the completion of the police measures, but the status of the driver regarding any charges or further actions is not yet known.

During a search of the car, the police found ski masks and a soft air pistol. The car and the mobile phones of the occupants were also seized by the police.
