In a dramatic turn of events on Tuesday, 2nd September, Dortmund police made an arrest around 4:30 PM near Brackeler Straße. The suspect, a 52-year-old man from Breckerfeld, was being pursued in a silver BMW after reportedly damaging a parked vehicle at another location.

The chase ended on a factory site in Eberhardstraße, where the man attempted to flee on foot. During the pursuit, the suspect's vehicle collided with a police car, but thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident or the apprehension.

The driver was taken to the Nord police station for questioning, and a blood test was conducted at the station. Subsequent drug and urine tests also came back positive for the driver. The seized vehicle, the silver BMW, is now being held as evidence.

Investigations regarding the incident are ongoing, and at this time, no information has been provided about the current status or charges against the arrested individual. The driver was released after the blood sample was taken.

The arrest was made by civilian enforcement units on a nearby vacant lot, and the abandoned vehicle was found on a nearby industrial site.
