108 New Police Officers Join Wuppertal District Police Authority

Monday marked a significant day for the Wuppertal District Police Authority as 108 new officers, including 72 police commissioners, began their service. The newcomers were welcomed at a ceremony and swearing-in at the Wuppertal Police Presidency.

Among the new officers, 14 will join the department of Crime, and 3 will be assigned to the department of Traffic. The departments of Crime and Traffic will receive a total of 17 new officers.

The Mayor of the City of Solingen, Tim Kurzbach, was a guest at the ceremony and spoke on behalf of the mayors of the Bergisch city triangle. The new police commissioners are starting their first deployment in the Bergisch cities.

The cities of Wuppertal, Remscheid, and Solingen will benefit from a strengthened police presence. Wuppertal will receive 35 additional officers, Remscheid 9, and Solingen 11.

Police President Markus Röhrl extended a warm welcome to the new officers, expressing his confidence in their abilities to contribute to the safety and security of the region.

However, the search results do not provide specific names or detailed information about the 32 police officers who transferred to the Wuppertal Police Headquarters, nor the specific departments where they started their new duties.

It's also worth noting that the ceremony did not mention any increase in police inspections or the transfer of officers from other district police authorities to the departments of the Wuppertal Police Presidency.

This influx of new officers is expected to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Wuppertal District Police Authority in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and addressing the unique challenges faced by the Bergisch cities.
