The Police Headquarters Rhein-Kreis Neuss has taken a proactive approach to road safety, particularly for bicycle, pedelec, and e-bike riders, as part of the Europe-wide ROADPOL Safety Days.

During this initiative, known as the "Two-Wheelers" project, the police checked bicycles for their technical condition and reminded riders about the importance of paying attention to their own safety and that of other road users. This was evident in a recent action organized around the Andreasschule in Korschenbroich.

Experts in accident prevention were also on hand to inform riders about how proper behaviour can reduce the risk of an accident. These experts included local police officers, road safety instructors, and representatives from the traffic safety organization (Verkehrswacht).

The police in Rhein-Kreis Neuss use the sign #LIFE for road safety and accident prevention. They remind all two-wheeler riders to adhere to this message, even outside of traffic controls.

Roadworthy bicycles are crucial for road safety, according to the traffic police officers. They emphasized that distractions while riding can lead to accidents, and riders should always ensure their bicycles are in good working order.

For more information about the police's road safety and accident prevention actions, you can contact the press office for the Police Headquarters Rhein-Kreis Neuss at Jülicher Landstraße 178, 41464 Neuss. ROADPOL stands for the European Roads Policing Network, a network of police forces across Europe working together to improve road safety. The Two-Wheelers project is just one example of their efforts to ensure the safety of all road users.
