In the past week, several unusual incidents have taken place in Lower Saxony and Hamburg, ranging from traffic accidents to robberies and arrests.
Firstly, a Porsche driver was stopped at the Danish border by Danish police, where a breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol level of 1.28 promille. The driver, who claimed to be driving from Austria to Denmark because his mother had suffered a heart attack, now faces several criminal charges.
In a separate incident, a traffic accident occurred on the Winsen (Luhe) area's Winsener Straße in Hanstedt on Saturday night, involving a 52-year-old driver who blew over two promille. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and had his driver's license confiscated due to the accident.
Another traffic accident took place on the A7, the details of which are unknown, involving an 18-year-old driver who continued driving on three tires for 13 kilometers before parking on the A39's rest area. The young driver, who was found to have a blood alcohol level over two promille, also had no driver's license and was not allowed to drive the car.
In Neu Wulmstorf, three suspects robbed a gas station in the Hauptstraße area on Friday morning, making off with stolen money and cigarettes. The police were able to apprehend one of the suspects, while the search for the other two continues.
In a different part of Hamburg, a small truck was stolen in the city area and located in the area of the Gewerbestraße in Hollenstedt on Saturday afternoon. A suspect was apprehended after stealing a bicycle during his escape.
In Buchholz i.d.N., a driver was stopped on Saturday evening for not having a driver's license and was found to be under the influence of intoxicating substances. Similarly, in Seevetal, a driver was stopped on Friday for driving a car without a valid driver's license, marking a repeat offense.
