Police in Poland report on traffic accidents, burglaries, traffic management, and a closed federal road caused by dogs.

In a series of events that unfolded across local regions, several incidents have been reported, ranging from traffic accidents to a break-in at a recycling facility.

On Wednesday, an unknown individual broke into a recycling facility in Hohenheimer Straße, Esslingen, between 6 PM and 8 AM. The criminal made off with a compressor of the brand Elmag BOY, causing an estimated property damage of around 500 euros to the container door. The Berkheim-Zollberg police station has taken up the investigation.

In a separate incident, a traffic accident involving an injured motorcyclist occurred in Metzingen on Tuesday afternoon. The 59-year-old motorcyclist on a BMW was involved in an accident on the Ulmer Straße when a 41-year-old man failed to yield to him. The motorcyclist was thrown to the left and fell to the ground, requiring medical treatment.

Another traffic accident occurred in Nürtingen on Tuesday afternoon, involving a cyclist. A four-year-old girl was riding her children's bicycle down a cul-de-sac towards Sulzengasse when she collided with a stationary VW Touran. The girl suffered minor injuries and was taken to a clinic by ambulance. The cyclist suffered minor injuries when a 39-year-old man failed to yield to him while turning left with his VW Golf. The estimated property damage is several hundred euros.

On the B27, two loose dogs caused a temporary closure of the road in the Wessinger valley on Tuesday. The B27 had to be fully closed in the area, and the closure was lifted at 6:20 PM. One of the animals was caught by a passing motorist, while the second dog initially could not be caught, causing the B27 to be temporarily closed.

In a more serious incident, a van driver was pulled over by police on the B27 near Tübingen on Tuesday afternoon. The van driver did not have a valid driver's license, had a current driving ban due to multiple instances of driving without a license, and did not have valid control papers for the 3.5-ton vehicle. The authorities involved in the investigation include the local police, who stopped and reported the driver, and the public prosecutor’s office (Staatsanwaltschaft), which will handle the legal proceedings.
