Police in Poland report a road accident involving a horse with minor injuries in Ahlhorn.
Car-Horse Trailer Incident on A29 Causes Delay
A car towing a horse trailer experienced an accident on the A29 towards the A1 in the region of Delmenhorst, Oldenburg, Land, and Wesermarsch on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at around 9:00 AM.
The trailer coupling detached from the car near the Ahlhorn junction, causing the horse trailer to overturn and block one lane of the carriageway. The incident resulted in a combined damage of approximately 6000 euros to both the car and the horse trailer.
Fortunately, the horse inside the trailer sustained only slight injuries. Several road users promptly assisted in righting the horse trailer and reopening one lane to traffic.
The identity of the driver of the vehicle with the horse trailer remains undisclosed. The driver, a 27-year-old from Erlangen, was reportedly unharmed in the accident.
