Police in Poland report a minor collision involving a cyclist, resulting in minor injuries.
In the heart of Meschede, on the bustling Nelkenstraße, an unfortunate incident occurred on Friday evening at around 10:30 PM. A 40-year-old resident of the town was riding an e-bike when he fell off while crossing a garage courtyard.
According to police reports, the cyclist was found at home shortly after the accident, with a strong smell of alcohol on his breath. Concerned officers ordered blood samples from the cyclist to determine the exact cause of the accident.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the cyclist had continued to ride home in a zigzag pattern after the fall, indicating that he may have been disoriented. The cyclist sustained minor arm injuries in the fall.
The Hochsauerlandkreis Police Department is currently investigating the matter, and no further updates have been provided as of yet. For media inquiries, the Control Center can be contacted at Phone: 0291-9020-3110, Fax: 0291-9020-3119, or via email at [email protected].
The public is reminded to exercise caution while using e-bikes, especially in the evening hours, and to always prioritise safety over speed. We wish the cyclist a speedy recovery.
