In an unexpected turn of events at the Lübeck ZOB on Saturday evening, a 26-year-old man of Afghan nationality was arrested following a series of violent altercations.

According to reports from the Polizeidirektion Lübeck, the suspect stood out in a crowd of about 50 people at the ZOB. He reportedly refused to calm down and actively sought a physical altercation with others, leading to several incidents of violence.

The suspect allegedly punched several people, including a 46-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, causing visible injuries. The 46-year-old man had injuries to his face, which were reportedly sustained in an earlier altercation with the suspect.

Several patrol car crews were dispatched to the ZOB due to reports of fighting at the location. The suspect was initially identified for his aggressive behavior at the bus station.

During his arrest, the suspect offered strong resistance, insulted, and threatened the police officers. He also injured a police officer, who is currently not fit for duty. The suspect also reportedly urinated and spat in the cell while in police custody.

A blood sample was taken from the suspect on order of the Public Prosecutor's Office in Lübeck due to suspicion of drug consumption. Investigations were initiated against the suspect on suspicion of bodily injury, insult, threat, and resistance to law enforcement officers.

The overall disturbance at the ZOB moved outside after the suspect was separated from his counterpart. The suspect spent the rest of the night in the detention cell.
