In Lübeck, Germany, on the evening of August 30, 2025, a police officer was injured during an arrest at the ZOB (Central Bus Station). The suspect, a 26-year-old man of Afghan nationality, is currently under investigation by the Police Directorate Lübeck.

The incident unfolded when the police arrived at the bus station, where they found the man in a crowd of around 50 people. Witnesses report that the man had been acting aggressively and resisting arrest. He allegedly assaulted several individuals, including a 46-year-old man with visible injuries to his face, and sought a confrontation with another individual, an 18-year-old man who was also reportedly injured during the altercation.

Upon being taken into custody, the man continued to act aggressively, urinating, spitting, and kicking and punching the cell door. The police officer who was initially involved in the arrest has since been unable to return to work due to his injuries.

Investigations have been initiated against the man for suspected assault, insult, threat, and resistance to law enforcement officers. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Lübeck is also involved in the case, and a blood sample was taken from the man due to suspicion of drug use, ordered by the Lübeck Public Prosecutor's Office.

At this time, no further information about the man's legal representation has been provided. For inquiries, the Police Directorate Lübeck Press Office can be contacted via Ulli Fritz Gerlach, Press Spokesperson, at the given contact details.

It is important to note that the true name of the suspect has not been disclosed, only that he is a 26-year-old Afghan man who acted aggressively and resisted police arrest. The man had previously drawn attention to himself at the bus station due to his aggressive behavior.

The Police Directorate Lübeck and the Public Prosecutor's Office are working diligently to gather more information and bring the situation to a resolution. As the investigation continues, updates will be provided as they become available.
