Police in Poland announced multiple arrests
In a series of events, several incidents have been reported across the region, ranging from traffic accidents to fires and burglaries.
In a tragic turn of events, a traffic accident occurred on the B465 near Seeburg involving a motorcyclist and a Tesla. Both the motorcyclist and his passenger fell onto the road. Fortunately, no one was injured. The collision was caused by a driver failing to notice a traffic light. The motorcycle had to be towed away, and both vehicles, with a total of approximately €12,000 in damage, were removed from the scene.
A fire in a trash can occurred in the Bernhard-Denzel-Way, Esslingen, on Monday at around 1:40 am. The flames had already been extinguished by residents before the fire department arrived. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
A fire in a currently uninhabited and undergoing renovation apartment on Obertorstraße, Esslingen, is suspected to have been caused by a technical defect in an electrical cable. The fire was extinguished immediately by the fire department. The apartment is no longer habitable due to fire damage and smoke residue, and the estimated property damage is several hundred euros.
In a more concerning incident, a fire occurred in the kitchen of an apartment on Königsstraße, Reutlingen, on Sunday afternoon. The police department of Reutlingen (Polizeirevier Reutlingen) is responsible for investigating the cause of the fire, with initial suspicions pointing to a technical defect in the built-in refrigerator. The fire was extinguished immediately by the fire department, and no one was injured.
A burglar broke into a residential building on Brucknerweg and made off with jewelry. The estimated property damage is around 100,000 euros. The Filderstadt police station has identified the man and initiated an investigation.
An unknown suspect gained entry through a window and stole cash and valuable items from a single-family home in Ziegelhaldenstraße between early August and Sunday, 11:00 AM. The police have started an investigation into the cause of the break-in.
In a bizarre incident, a man is suspected of exposing himself to children at a playground in Gabriele-Münter-Straße. The suspect allegedly exposed himself and masturbated before fleeing the scene. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
Elsewhere, a firefighter was called to a vehicle fire on Tübinger Straße, where a Opel caught fire for unknown reasons. The fire was extinguished quickly by the fire department.
An intoxicated e-scooter rider was found riding on the federal highway B27 and had to provide a blood sample. The suspect was found to be heavily intoxicated and assaulted police officers during the arrest. The suspect allegedly stole several bottles of alcoholic beverages and refused to leave a gas station.
In a less serious incident, a cyclist sustained minor injuries after colliding with a wild boar in a field path between Bad Sebastiansweiler and Bärenhardt. The cyclist was treated at the scene and released.
A rear-end collision occurred on the Airport Street, Leinfelden-Echterdingen, on Sunday afternoon. The collision was caused by a driver failing to notice a traffic light. The motorcyclist tried to prevent a rear-end collision by swerving but got caught on the rear of the Tesla.
Lastly, a 34-year-old was taken into custody by police after allegedly damaging a bicycle and lunging at a victim. The suspect has been remanded in custody pending further investigation.
