Federal Police Inspectorate Dresden Makes Multiple Arrests and Seizures
In a series of arrests and seizures that took place on August 19 and 20, 2025, the Federal Police Inspectorate Dresden apprehended several individuals in the Dresden region. The arrests were made based on existing arrest warrants.
The first individual, a 37-year-old Romanian, was arrested due to an outstanding arrest warrant from the Public Prosecutor's Office in Dresden for fraud, with a fine of 450 euros. A clip containing 1.6 grams of cocaine was found in the vehicle of the Romanian individual. A small bag containing a white substance, suspected to be crystal, was seized from the arrested man during a search.
On August 19, at 22:45, a 44-year-old man was arrested on the international Euro City train (Prague - Dresden) by the Federal Police Inspectorate Dresden due to an arrest warrant for driving under the influence.
An illegal stay was uncovered during the arrests made by the Federal Police Inspectorate Dresden. The Albanian national, who had been deported to Albania in April 2025, was found to be staying illegally in Germany. The Albanian had two arrest warrants for theft with weapons (Public Prosecutor's Office Leipzig) and theft (Public Prosecutor's Office Chemnitz), with a total claim of 2,320 euros.
On August 20, at 03:00, a 39-year-old German national appeared at the Federal Police Station in Dresden's main station and stated that he was wanted by the police. Subsequent research confirmed that the German national had an arrest warrant issued by the Dresden District Court for the suspect of theft and arson.
A 24-year-old Albanian was apprehended by a federal police officer and a DB Security employee at the main station. All three arrest warrants, totaling 2,770 euros, were paid on the spot by their employer.
On August 19, at 19:00, the Federal Police Inspectorate Dresden checked two individuals in front of the main station. The Slovak ID card presented by the arrested man was confiscated.
The Federal Police Inspectorate Dresden also seized narcotics during the arrests made on August 19 and 20, 2025. The details of this seizure were not disclosed in the official statement.
