Police headquarters in South Hessen initiate operation at motorway station of their department

The inauguration of the Police Autobahn Station Southeast Hesse took place in Hanau, marking a significant milestone in the implementation of a new security concept. The event was attended by high-profile individuals including Claus Kaminsky, Mayor of Hanau, Roman Poseck, Interior Minister of Hesse, and Daniel Muth, Police President of Southeast Hesse.

At the ceremony, Police Inspector Timo Rosenberger was introduced as the new acting head of the South Hesse Highway Police Station, succeeding First Police Inspector Christian Kreß. Rosenberger, who has previously served in patrol duty and various functions, most recently as deputy head of the highway police, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity.

The Police Autobahn Station of Police Headquarters Southeast Hesse is responsible for approximately 330 kilometers of motorways and motorway-like federal roads, including a section of the A 3, one of the most important traffic axes in Germany, and the important east-west connection A 66 between Schlüchtern and Frankfurt. Two additional radio patrol cars are now on duty around the clock at Police Station Gelnhausen and Police Station Schlüchtern to ensure continuous coverage.

In an effort to foster a community-based police force, local community police officers have been introduced. Hanau now has four community police officers, two of which were established at the beginning of the month. Bad Orb and Schlüchtern police stations each have a community police officer on duty, serving as permanent points of contact for citizens.
