Police force in Hagen kicks off new recruitment year, welcoming 279 fresh faces for the forthcoming law enforcement period in their training program.
The University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration NRW (HSPV NRW) welcomed a new intake of 279 students this September, including eight trainee government inspectors and 271 trainee police commissioners. The welcoming event took place in the Nahmer-Halle in Hohenlimburg.
Police President Ursula Tomahogh and representatives of the training leadership were present at the event. In her speech, she warmly welcomed the new students, extending her best wishes for their studies.
The trainee police commissioners will embark on a three-year study program, while the trainee government inspectors will undergo a study program at HSPV NRW. Both groups will prepare for their future careers through a combination of theory, training, and practice.
Upon successful completion of their studies, the trainee police commissioners will be appointed as police commissioners, while the trainee government inspectors will receive the academic title of Bachelor of Laws. The trainee police commissioners will receive the academic title of Bachelor of Arts.
The big moment for the students came when their names were called, and they walked onto the stage. After receiving their certificates and signing them, the tension visibly lifted from the now-called probationary officers.

This appointment marked the beginning of a diverse, challenging, but above all, formative chapter of their lives. The event concluded with the appointment of the new police trainees and government administrative inspectors, signifying the end of the welcoming event.
