Arrest Made in La Salle County Traffic Stop

In an unexpected turn of events, a traffic stop in La Salle County late on Wednesday night resulted in the arrest of two individuals. According to reports, the incident occurred at the intersection of West Superior Street and Charles Street in Ottawa.

The primary suspect, Jeffrey Delagarza, aged 41, from Ottawa, was apprehended during the stop. Delagarza was also charged with vehicle violations. Alongside Delagarza, Bethany Blue, aged 32, from Marseilles, was also arrested.

Both Delagarza and Blue were charged with possession with intent to deliver controlled substances. The substances in question were methamphetamine and cannabis. Additionally, they were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Another passenger in the vehicle, Dylan Chaney, aged 30, from Ottawa, was given a warning for illegal transportation of alcohol.

Following the court hearing presided over by Judge Grace Hammerschmidt, Delagarza and Blue were released with notices to appear in court at a later date.

The traffic stop took place in the midnight hour, adding an element of intrigue to the already surprising events. The exact circumstances leading to the traffic stop have not been disclosed at this time.
