The Rhein-Erft Police Department, in collaboration with the German Road Safety Council (DVR) and the City of Bruhl, will be hosting a prevention program titled "Safety in Urban Traffic" on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The event, which will take place from 10:00 to 16:00, aims to raise awareness and prevent accidents in urban traffic.
The program will offer activities such as tips on safety in urban and rural areas, provided by the Rhein-Erft Police Department's traffic accident prevention specialists. A highlight of the event will be the use of virtual reality traffic situation simulations and demonstrations of the "Blind Spot" phenomenon.
Chief Inspector Christian Roessler, head of the Traffic Division, stated that urban traffic is complex and presents various hazards to all road users. He emphasised that the program is an invitation to citizens who want to learn about safety in urban traffic.
