Police Announcement: Brake Incident of August 25, 31.08
The police in Delmenhorst/Oldenburg-Land/Wesermarsch are currently investigating a disturbance that occurred at the Oldenburg horse market on August 31, involving the use of pepper spray.
According to a statement from the Police Station Delmenhorst/Oldenburg-Land/Wesermarsch, which was originally transmitted by the station and later reported by news aktuell, the incident took place around 00:20. The festival tent, where the incident occurred, was disrupted, but was able to resume operation after about 30 minutes of ventilation.
Sadly, 18 people were slightly injured as a result of the incident. Some of the injured individuals received medical treatment. The police have initiated investigations for dangerous bodily harm.
The perpetrator of this incident has been identified as a 32-year-old man from Brake. The suspect was identified by witnesses and the pepper spray was found in his possession. The Oldenburg public prosecutor's office has ordered a blood sample to be taken from the suspect.
