PokerStars Offers Free $5,000 Irish Poker Open Package in New Contest

PokerStars has launched a free-to-enter contest offering a $5,000 Irish Poker Open package as the top prize. Players worldwide, including those in the USA, can join by selecting a team of three elite online tournament specialists.

The Pick 3 for SCOOP 2026 contest ties into the upcoming Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), which runs from 1 to 25 March with 136 events and over $45 million in guaranteed prizes.

To take part, eligible PokerStars players must assemble a team of three from a list of top online tournament performers. Every win or in-the-money finish by those players during SCOOP will earn points for the team. The team with the highest score at the end of the series secures the $5,000 trip to the Irish Poker Open, one of the most prestigious no-limit hold'em tournaments outside Las Vegas.

The 2025 Main Event attracted 4,562 players and generated a €4,447,950 prizepool. If scores are tied, a tiebreaker question will decide the winner. Teams finishing between 2nd and 10th on the leaderboard will receive $109 PokerStars tournament tickets or branded merchandise.

All participants also get a freeroll ticket for another $5,000 Irish Poker Open package. Additional prizes include entries to SCOOP Main Event satellite tournaments, giving more players a shot at the action.

The contest runs alongside SCOOP 2026, which features buy-ins from $5.50 and a total prize pool exceeding $45 million. Winners will be determined by their team's performance during the series, with the top scorer earning the Irish Poker Open package. Entry is open to PokerOrg members globally at no cost.
