Phoenix’s Valentine craft workshops spark creativity for all skill levels
Phoenix residents can now sign up for a series of Valentine-themed craft workshops. Organised by Crafty Chica (Kathy Cano-Murillo), these sessions cover everything from watercolours to chocolate box decorating. Each event is open to all skill levels and aims to spark creativity ahead of the holiday.
The first workshop, Chocolate Box Makeovers, takes place on Sunday, January 25, at noon at Amor Collective. For $24.00, participants will personalise medium and small chocolate boxes using various materials, including chocolate itself. They’ll also design new toppers and write affirmation notes to accompany their creations.
On Saturday, February 7, Changing Hands Bookstore hosts the Watercolor Mixed Media Valentines workshop. Costing $30.00, this session teaches watercolour techniques, paper layering, and lettering. Attendees will use these skills to craft greeting cards and single Valentines. The final event, the Terra Cotta Planter and Ring Dish Workshop, is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, also at Changing Hands Bookstore. Priced at $50.00, this workshop guides participants in hand-building terra cotta planters and decorative dishes.
All three workshops welcome beginners and experienced crafters alike. Each session provides hands-on instruction and materials to complete the projects. Registration details can be found through Crafty Chica’s event listings.
