Philadelphia's March cultural scene bursts with theatre, music and food festivals

A variety of cultural and culinary events are taking place across Philadelphia and nearby regions this month. From theatre performances to music tributes and food festivals, there are plenty of options for entertainment and community engagement.

One highlight includes the ongoing Center City Restaurant Week in Philadelphia, while neighbouring areas like New Hope and Lambertville also host their own dining celebrations.

Theatre lovers can catch Sherlock Holmes: The Great Detective at the Walnut Street Theatre until February 15. Meanwhile, the Dance Theatre of Harlem will present three Philadelphia premieres at the Annenberg Center starting this Friday.

Music fans have several choices as well. Lez Zeppelin, an all-female Led Zeppelin tribute band, performs at the Keswick Theater on Saturday. Over in Middletown, Delaware, a live tribute to *The Carol Burnett Show* takes place at The Gibby. Additionally, a Broadway-style concert featuring Broadway stars will be held at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville on Sunday. Beyond the region, major cities are hosting their own events. New York City will feature a Harry Styles pop-up from March 4-6 and a Brooklyn Museum event on March 7. Los Angeles welcomes the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater from March 25-29, while Miami hosts the Miami Open (March 15-29) and Ultra Music Festival (March 27-29). San Diego will showcase a Banksy exhibition at the Del Mar Fairgrounds throughout March. Earlier this month, MLK Day of Service activities took place across the region on January 19, encouraging community involvement and volunteer work.

With theatre, music, food, and service events spread across Philadelphia and beyond, residents and visitors have a wide range of activities to enjoy. The coming weeks will feature performances, exhibitions, and dining experiences in multiple cities, offering something for everyone.
