Philadelphia Hosts 2026 WTCA Global Business Forum After Decade-Long U.S. Hiatus

The 56th annual WTCA Global Business Forum (GBF) will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from April 19 to 22, 2026. This marks the first time in nearly a decade that the event is being held in the United States. Organisers have chosen the theme Historic Foundations, Future Collaborations: Cultivating New Business Frontiers for this year's gathering. Over 300 delegates from 93 World Trade Center (WTC) businesses across 46 countries and territories will attend the Forum. The event follows last year's gathering in Marseille, France, which drew more than 400 participants from over 50 nations. In 2025, the most represented sectors included technology, trade & logistics, and sustainable energy.

The 2026 programme will feature the return of the WTCA Real Estate Summit, offering specialised sessions on development and investment. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is set to deliver a keynote address, while NBA legend and entrepreneur Julius 'Dr. J' Erving will join a panel on how cities sustain long-term economic growth. Attendees will also use the WTCA B2Match platform to arrange meetings with potential partners, investors, and distributors. Philadelphia, the sixth-largest city in the U.S., was selected as the host location for this year's Forum.

The Forum will bring together business leaders, policymakers, and investors for networking and discussions on global trade. With a focus on real estate, technology, and sustainability, the event aims to foster new partnerships. The last U.S.-based WTCA GBF took place nearly ten years ago, making this a significant return.
