Phenomenal Achievement: Bryn Kenney Sets Record with $70 Million in Live Poker Winnings

In a stunning turn of events, poker pro Bryn Kenney has made history by claiming the largest live poker tournament prize ever, a life-altering $70 million. This monumental win marks Kenney's fourth title overall and his second tour championship.

The previous record holder was Daniel Weinman, who pocketed $12.1 million in 2023 during the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. However, Kenney's latest triumph has propelled him to the top of the US All-Time Money List, leaving Weinman's record in the dust.

The WSOP Main Event, held annually with a $10,000 buy-in, is the most prestigious tournament in the poker world, attracting thousands of players from across the globe. While the 2025 WSOP Main Event boasted 9,735 entries and a nearly $93 million prize pool, the first-place prize of $10 million still falls short of Weinman's 2023 record.

Other notable wins include Paul Worsley's £316,640 (approximately $370,000) in the 2025 Goliath tournament in the UK, and John Monnette's $278,144 in a large mixed game WSOP event. However, these prizes pale in comparison to the WSOP Main Event top prizes.

Kenney's journey to the top began in 2007 when he made his first cash at the East Coast Poker Championships. Since then, he has played all over the world and in various prestigious poker series, including the WSOP and WPT.

In 2024, Kenney added another significant victory to his resume, winning the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Monte Carlo. He took home $4,410,000 as the prize, outshining the runner-up, Wai Leong Chan, who received a prize of $2,970,000.

With this win, Justin Bonomo now finds himself in second place on the All-Time Money List with $64,114,597 to his name. Kenney's net worth in 2024 remains undisclosed.
