Person engaged in aggressive behavior towards a young female in proximity to residential property
In the early hours of Sunday morning, a young woman in Düsseldorf found herself in a harrowing situation. The woman, who had been celebrating with friends in the old town, returned home around 6 a.m. and headed to her mother's store near her apartment.
As she entered the store, a stranger suddenly appeared and launched an attack. The assailant, described as a 20-23-year-old man, approximately 176 cm tall and slim, with short black hair, no beard, and a southeastern European appearance, grabbed the woman inappropriately and attempted to kiss her.
The woman, who is trained in combat sports, showed remarkable courage and resistance. She pushed the attacker away and fought back with slaps and punches. During the struggle, the man struck the woman in the face, but she managed to maintain her composure and defend herself.
The attacker, apparently surprised by the woman's resistance, fled in an unknown direction. It is unclear if the attacker was injured in the struggle. The woman's phone fell to the ground during the scuffle, but she remained unharmed.
The woman's boyfriend, who was constantly on the phone with her during her journey home, immediately called the police when he heard her screams. The attacker's identity remains unknown, as the search results do not provide information about the name of the person who committed the attack.
Witnesses who observed something suspicious in the area of Charlottenstraße around 6 a.m. on Sunday are asked to contact the Düsseldorf Police's Criminal Commissioner 12 under the number 0211 8700. It is hoped that their information will help in identifying and apprehending the attacker.
Despite the traumatic incident, the woman's quick thinking and physical prowess prevented a more serious outcome. The incident serves as a reminder to stay vigilant, especially in unfamiliar or late-night situations.
