Pechora Winter Games 2026 crowns 'StarPertsy' in lively youth competition
The Pechora Winter Games 2026 brought together local teams in a lively competition held in Pechora. Organised by the Pechora Municipal District Administration, the event aimed to celebrate youth talent and encourage healthy living. Eight teams from nearby enterprises and organisations took part, including guests from Kajerom. The festival kicked off at Building No. 1 of the Pechora Industrial and Economic Technical College. Competitors faced challenges across four categories: Sports, Tourism, Creative, and an Intellectual quiz. The following day, events shifted to the scenic Byzovaya Ethnocultural Park.
Oleg Shutov, head of the Pechora Municipal District, spoke to participants about the importance of unity and fitness. Natalia Panshina, director of the technical college, also addressed the teams, urging them to tackle each task with determination.
After two days of contests, the team 'StarPertsy' claimed first place. 'Amperes' followed in second, while 'IK-49' secured third position. The games wrapped up with a focus on youth development and community spirit. Organisers highlighted the event's role in supporting young athletes and creative minds. No official links to Russia's national 'Youth and Children' project were confirmed.
