Pavels Spirins crushes high-stakes poker showdown at 2025 WSOP Europe

Pavels Spirins has won a high-stakes poker hand at the 2025 WSOP Europe Main Event in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. The tournament, with a total prize pool of €10,000,000, saw Spirins secure a significant chip lead after a dramatic showdown against Ville Keranen.

The hand began with Ville Keranen limping from the small blind. Pavels Spirins, in the big blind, checked his option to see the flop.

On the flop, Spirins bet 30,000, and Keranen called. The turn and river saw further action, with Spirins betting 75,000 and 100,000 respectively—both times, Keranen check-called. At the showdown, Spirins revealed 8♣ 7♥ for a full house. Keranen showed 6♠ for a lower full house but was unable to match Spirins' stronger hand. The victory pushed Spirins' chip count to 960,000, while Keranen's stack dropped to 250,000.

The win strengthens Spirins' position in the tournament, where the prize pool stands at €10,000,000. Keranen, now with fewer chips, faces an uphill battle in the remaining stages of the event.
