New Ranger to Patrol Taunus Nature Park

Starting from Monday, September 1st, a new ranger named Lukas will be patrolling the Taunus Nature Park in Germany. This marks the first time a ranger will be assigned to the park as part of a two-year project, in response to the increased occurrence of forest fires this year.

The ranger's main responsibilities will include monitoring potential risks of forest fires and enforcing rules related to forest fires and grilling in the woods. This is crucial, as 16 of the 20 forest fires in the Taunus this year were reported to be arson.

In addition to forest fire prevention, the ranger's duties will also extend to looking out for illegal waste disposal and other misconduct. According to the mayor of Kronberg, Christoph Kรถnig, such misconduct happens quite often.

The role of the ranger in the Taunus Nature Park is similar to those seen in American movies maintaining law and order in the woods. During their patrols, the ranger will approach people who are grilling in the woods as part of their duties.

This initiative is a significant step towards ensuring the safety and preservation of the Taunus Nature Park. The ranger's trial period will last for six months, after which the success of the project will be evaluated.

With the addition of a ranger, visitors to the Taunus Nature Park can look forward to a safer and more regulated environment, promoting a better experience for all.
