Park-goers in Ekaterinburg face fine, judicial complications due to prosecutors' intervention over payment issues.
In the heart of Yekaterinburg, the Dendrological Park-Exhibition has found itself in a bit of a controversy. The Municipal Budgetary Institution recently received a protest and a presentation from the local prosecutor's office, citing a violation of citizens' rights.
The crux of the matter seems to revolve around the charging of fees for photoshoots and excursions within the park, particularly in the Dendrarium located in the Kirovsky and Leninsky districts. However, there is no publicly available information confirming that the park's director, Natalia Zmeeva, is currently in negotiations with authorities in Yekaterinburg or Nizhny Tagil to introduce these charges.
The park has taken steps to address the concerns raised by the prosecutor's office. For instance, they have planted hydrangeas on the main alley on March 8th Street and are creating more separate areas for photoshoots to prevent trampling of lawns and damage to the root systems of trees and plants.
However, no documents confirming the addressing of the violation have been made public yet. Moreover, no further actions or corrections have been stated by the park regarding the violation. It's worth noting that the cost of an abonnement for commercial lessons, quests, excursions, photoshoots, including wedding ones, and film shooting remains at 1,000 rubles for a day or 5,000 rubles for a month in the park.
In an effort to clarify the situation, the park has corrected a previous statement that subscriptions apply to all photoshoots and excursions, including non-commercial ones. They are currently working to provide more information about changes to the park's areas for photoshoots and measures to prevent trampling of flowers near the 'Love Bench', a new addition to the park.
The response to this violation was posted by Alshveiskikh, but the prosecutor's office has not been mentioned as addressing the issue beyond the confirmation of the violation. As of now, no new plants or photo zones have been mentioned as being added to the park.
The park's director, Natalia Zmeeva, has stated that they are addressing the remarks made by the prosecutor's office. Let's hope for a resolution that respects the rights of all park visitors while maintaining the beauty and integrity of this beloved green space.
