Packaging equipment industry titan shifts base to Wiesbaden

Wiesbaden, a city known for its charm and vibrant economy, has just received a significant boost with the settlement of Dienst Packsystems on Hohenstaufenstraße. This internationally active machine engineering company, specialising in packaging and automation solutions, is relocating its entire production to the city.

The property at Hohenstaufenstraße 8, previously vacant after Stahlgruber moved out, was taken over by the state capital Wiesbaden in the fall of 2024 and successfully marketed by the Property Department. After renovation and maintenance work, the building was rented to Dienst Packsystems in a targeted manner.

In close cooperation between the Property Department and Dienst Packsystems, further conversions for a tailored use were implemented in recent months at the Hohenstaufenstraße property. The company, established in 1988, has established itself as the world market leader in the production of packaging machines for frozen pizzas.

Dienst Packsystems supplies manufacturers of food and non-food articles on all continents. With around a hundred permanent employees in Wiesbaden, the company is set to make a substantial contribution to the city's workforce.

The settlement of Dienst Packsystems is a strong signal for the attractiveness of Wiesbaden's economic location. Active and committed area management, as shown in mediating the Hohenstaufenstraße property, is important according to Building Commissioner Andreas Kowol.

Wiesbaden is committed to a diverse economic structure with innovative companies, and Dienst Packsystems fits perfectly into this picture. The city is excited to welcome this traditional and innovative business to its economic location.
