In the rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) market, the increasing demand for energy is straining the current grid's transmission and distribution systems in many areas. However, ZOOZ Power, a manufacturer of power boosters, is paving the way for high-power DC charging, even in areas with power issues in the grid.

ZOOZ Power's flagship product, the ZOOZTER-100, enables ultra-fast and continuous charging without the need for costly upgrades to the electrical grid. This technology stores energy during periods of inactivity, converts it into kinetic energy, and then returns it to the grid, providing energy freedom to charge point operators, developers, or implementers.

The ZOOZTER-100 system is designed for small and medium-sized charging hubs, whether for public charging or fleet depots, with two to ten DC chargers of 150 kilowatts or more, and grid supply of between 100 and 500 kilowatts. Each ZOOZTER-100 can typically support between two and five chargers in parallel.

ZOOZ Power has already made significant strides in the industry, with installations at over 40 locations in Germany and three sites in Israel. The company is also working with a major charge point operator in the UK and expects to announce a site in the United States soon. A fifth site will open in Germany soon, and the company has launched its first unit in the United Kingdom (UK).

The ZOOZTER-100 is an optimal solution for countries facing grid limitations, as it allows for fast and reliable charging even in areas with grid restrictions. ZOOZ Power has collaborated with Dor-Alon, one of the leading ultra-fast charging network operators in Israel, on a project that demonstrates its effectiveness.

The ZOOZTER-100 helps solve the "bottleneck" between the growing charging needs and the limited capacity of the grid. Site usage increased by more than 60% after installing a ZOOZTER-100, showing its potential to alleviate congestion at charging stations.

ZOOZ Power's target markets include Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Eastern Europe. By facilitating and enabling high-power DC charging, ZOOZ Power is playing a crucial role in accelerating the deployment of ultra-fast EV charging, making it possible for countries to advance in the transition without running out of sufficient energy much sooner than those with slower adoption.
