Over 350 deals inked by the World Economic Forum, totaling 6 trillion Russian rubles

The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2025) commenced on September 3 and will run until September 6, 202x, in Russia. Over 8,400 participants from 75 countries and territories have gathered to discuss the future of the Asia-Pacific region.

The main theme of this year's forum is "The Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity". The business program is divided into seven blocks, with around 90 thematic sessions planned.

A significant highlight of the forum was the plenary session featuring Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 5. In his address, President Putin emphasised that the centers of global economic activity are increasingly shifting towards the Asia-Pacific region.

The largest delegations at the EEF-2025 came from China, Mongolia, India, Japan, and Laos. In an open letter to the forum participants, President Putin reiterated Russia's readiness to actively participate in collective efforts to create a fair system of international relations in the Asia-Pacific region, based on equality and respect for legitimate interests.

The EEF-2025 has already seen the signing of 353 agreements worth a total of 6 trillion 51 billion rubles. These agreements aim to foster cooperation and economic development in the region.

As the forum continues, participants will discuss various topics, including infrastructure development, digital transformation, and sustainable development. The EEF-2025 promises to be a significant event in shaping the economic landscape of the Asia-Pacific region.
