Outdoor Rest Break Results for Summer Health Campaign: 4140 Kids Find Relaxation beyond Komi

In the summer of 2025, the Komi Republic witnessed a successful health and wellness campaign. A total of 464 healthcare and wellness facilities operated, accommodating 30,566 children, with 3,608 of them enjoying their summer rest on the Black Sea coast.

The campaign was marked by stringent health and safety measures. No emergency situations were reported during the operation of these facilities, and no mass infectious diseases were registered. This is a testament to the effective measures put in place to ensure the well-being of the children.

The quality of acariicide measures, designed to control tick populations, was closely monitored during the operation of the summer health facilities. In endemic areas, 100% of camps received acariicide treatments. Before starting work, all camps received deratization, disinsection measures, and acariicide treatment at their locations.

The duration of shifts varied across the different types of facilities. In stationary camps, the shifts lasted for 14 days, while in day camps, the duration ranged from 10 to 21 days. In labor and rest camps, the shifts were longer, ranging from 10 to 14 days.

Entomological assessment was conducted during the operation of the summer health facilities to ensure the safety of the children from any potential pest-borne diseases. The interval between shifts in these organisations was 2-3 days, providing adequate time for sanitisation and preparation.

While the leaders of the 464 stationary health and welfare facilities during the summer campaign in 2025 in the Komi Republic were not publicly specified in available sources, it is clear that the success of the campaign was a collective effort. No overcapacity was found or allowed in any of the summer organizations, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all children.

In addition to the children who rested within the Komi Republic, 4,140 children also rested outside the region during the same campaign. All summer rest organisations operated with valid sanitary and epidemiological conclusions, further ensuring the health and safety of the children.

The summer health campaign in the Komi Republic of 2025 was a model of effective health and safety management. The success of the campaign underscores the importance of stringent health and safety measures in ensuring the well-being of the children during their summer rest.
